Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A five-time NHL All-Star, and the first Russian player in history to reach 1,000 points, Sergei Fedorov was also the first European-trained player to win the Hart Memorial Trophy, and the only player in NHL history to win the Frank J. Selke and Hart Memorial in the same season. From his time in Motor City during the early-to-mid-1990s, we have gloves worn by the superstar. Cooper models in Red Wings colours, “Federov” appears screened over each cuff extension, with the “o” of “Fedorov” handwritten over the incorrect spelling. Moderate game-use is exhibited, with marks, abrasions and small areas of paint transfer, with additional wear to the palms including pilling along with no holes. Fedorov added blue marker signatures over each wrist guard, with each bleeding heavily into the background material and hard to decipher.
