Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Part of Detroit’s mighty “Russian Five”, Vyacheslav Kozlov enjoyed an especially lengthy career, with back-to-back Stanley Cup championships won in the late-1990s while also representing his native Russia religiously throughout his career. This lot includes a signed stick used by the superstar in 2007-08 while with Atlanta, and it’s accompanied by a Thrashers Kozlov CCM jersey. A Warrior Kronik model with “Kozlov” factory graphics, there is a serial code on the underside, with the original black rubber wrap on the handle. Most of the blade tape has been removed so Kozlov could add an attractive gold paint pen signature. The stick exhibits great game-use, with wear to the blade and shaft, with a sticky substance used by Kozlov remaining over most of the shaft, with some residue over the lower section. The jersey was produced by CCM with “XL” sizing, with a tackle twill team crest and numbers along with “Kozlov” across the affixed nameplate. Point-of-sale tags are still affixed, with the jersey in beautiful condition. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
