The longest continuously operating club in the AHL, the Hershey Bears first season was in 1938-39, with the most Calder Cup championships won in league history with 11. This lot offers a group of Bears items to include jerseys from 1997-98 worn by Michael Gaul and Josef Marha, a team-signed jersey and stick from the era, a team jacket and a track suit top. First, the Gaul and Marha jerseys were produced by Bauer, with each differeing in style, with tackle twill team crests and numbers, with each having Blue Cross sponsorship shoulder patches along with 60th anniversary crests over the reverse hem. Both jerseys show great game-use, with heavy marks to the Marha jersey. The team-signed jersey has been signed by approx 22 across the front in silver, with the signatures presenting well. The team-signed stick features Bears graphics with “1997-98”, with thirteen signing one side of the shaft in black marker. The team jacket was produced by DeLong, with XL sizing, with a Bears tackle twill crest across the chest and an embroidered Avalanche patch on the left sleeve (parent club). The track suit was made by Jammin, with “XL” sizing present and an embroidered Bears patch over the left breast. Both clothing articles show light wear.
