Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2020
The 1982 MLB season would not be overly successful for the two Canadian clubs, with the Montreal Expos finishing in third in the NL East, while Toronto fared worse, concluding the season in the AL East cellar. A shining light did include the Expos’ Al Oliver finishing with the highest National League batting average. This lot contains a large collection of Expos and Blue Jays 35mm colour slides totaling approx 665, with an additional 49 slides from other clubs for a grand total of approx 714, with the overwhelming majority appearing to originate from the 1982 MLB season. Dominated by Kodak examples, the majority of the slides have a number handwritten along with a date stamp and small sticker from Action Photographics. Players include Carter, Rogers, Raines, Gullickson, Lee and others for the Expos, and Murray, Bell, Moseby, Upshaw, Whitt, Bonnell and others for the Blue Jays.
The additional team slides include the Yankees, Twins and A’s, with examples for Winfield, Hunter, Nettles, Martin and others. The slides remain in excellent condition overall.
