Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Six baseball legends are offered up here on 1956 Topps cards, with all but one in rather attractive crease-free condition. A (second-year) Roberto Clemente "grey back" example has an EX-MT appearance, with the tiniest and subtlest of marks in the upper left corner when viewing the back - almost looking like tape or glue residue or something of the like and only detectable upon close inspection. We'd say EX or very close to it (VG-EX+) for the Ted Williams entry, with that of Warren Spahn the condition leader at EX-MT+. Two similar aforementioned small stains are in the upper right corner region on the back of the Jackie Robinson card, otherwise VG+ with two black marks in the bottom border. Hank Aaron's card (VG-EX+) has a mark in the top border, while completing is a Duke Snider grey back example with a one-inch light crease in the upper left corner region, below where a little pin/prick mark can be seen. Baseball icons await the new owner.
