Members of the IHL throughout their 16-year existence, the Flint Generals began play in the 1969-70 season, and would advance to the Turner Cup semifinals on a quartet of occasions before claiming their only championship, in 1983-84. This Flint Generals 10K gold and diamond ring was presented to Hartford Whalers draft choice Mike Martin for his status as a 1984 Turner Cup champion. Size 12 with an approx weight of 18 grams, an engraved Generals logo with inserted diamond rests over the tableau, with “Turner Cup Champions” and “1984” encompassing the top in raised letters/numbers. The right shank has an IHL logo with “M. Martin” placed in a banner above, and “2” below (his uniform number), with the left shank sporting a raised image of the Turner Cup with “Flint Generals” above. The inner band has been stamped "Terryberry 10 karat". The ring exhibits moderate to heavier wear from use, with rubbing, scratches and small grooves to the band and a few minor nicks along edges.
