Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2020
Providing self-deprecating humour in Adam Sandler’s 2000 comedy Little Nicky, where he begs Satan for a Super Bowl ring, Dan Marino is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in history despite never being on a championship team. The University of Pittsburgh alum is a nine-time Pro Bowler, with the Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year awards both won in 1984. This Miami Dolphins replica helmet has been signed by the 2005 HOF inductee, with a number of important career stats listed. A Riddell model with Dolphin decals over each side, Marino has placed a large flawless signature just above the decal in black marker, adding “HOF 2005”, “84 NFL MVP”, “ROY 83”, “61, 361 Yds” and “420 TDs”. With no issues to note for the signature, inscriptions or helmet itself, a “Marino” hologram has been affixed over the lower left reverse.
