Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Honouring his lone season with Sault Ste. Marie as a sixteen year old, Wayne Gretzky joined the Greyhounds in 1977-78. With his desired #9 already being worn by a teammate, Gretzky opted for the #14 instead, which he wore only for a few games, before switching to his iconic #99 on a suggestion from his coach Muzz MacPherson. We have a framed Greyhounds jersey display produced in 2012, signed by The Great One. Mounted with the reverse of the jersey showing, a photo has been added beneath, along with a small name plaque and a pair of Greyhounds team crests. Wayne has signed the “4” in blue marker, with the signature blending into the background material slightly. Framed to full dimensions of just under 42” x 47”, a hologram has been affixed from WGA, with their COA to accompany. A small dent is noticeable on the upper left edge and on the upper right edge of the frame with a chip also showing on the lower right side edge, otherwise the frame remains in excellent condition. Please take note that due to the item’s size/weight, shipping may be substantial.
