Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
His last full season with Montreal, Guy Lafleur would still put up impressive numbers despite the toils of a dozen plus seasons of the highest caliber hockey action, with 70 points scored including 30 goals in just 80 games. Hailing from that very season, we have a stick used by the Thurso native. A Sher-Wood PMP 5030 model, “Lafleur G.” and “10” appear stamped-on, with a factory date code in red of “21 Dec 1983” along the underside of the shaft. Featuring a pleasing curve, the stick retains its black tape over the blade and white on the handle/knob, with light to moderate use exhibited, with the shaft somewhat darkened. There is wear to the underside of the blade with a small separation visible, with a few specks of red paint transfer over the upper shaft.
