Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Representing the US at three different Olympic Games, Bill Guerin saw 18 seasons of high-caliber NHL action, with Stanley Cups won by the Worcester native with both New Jersey and Pittsburgh. Hailing from the Stanley Cup championship season of 2008-09, we have a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey that was worn by Guerin during the Stanley Cup playoffs. A CCM label with “56” sizing sits affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the familiar Penguins team crest with embroidered detailing, the solid black v-neck has been embellished with oversized and textured triple-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Guerin” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The team patch sits over the inside hem denoting playoff designation, with the fight strap signed by equipment manager Dana Heinz.
Just a few random marks are visible on the playoffs gamer, with some loose threading to the right cuff and pilling over the left. There is also a bit of faint red paint transfer near the right elbow.
