Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Currently playing for Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League, Nikolay Zherdev has represented Russia internationally in the past, winning gold at both the World Juniors and World Championships. Hailing from his rookie season in the NHL, we have a Columbus Blue Jackets third jersey that was worn by the Kiev native in 2003-04. A label with “56” sizing sits affixed to the collar, with KOHO and NHL crests over the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with an attractive polychrome team crest with embroidered detailing, the navy tie-neck has been accented with white tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with red trim, with differing alternate crests over each shoulder. Matching columns of three white tackle twill stars have also been placed over each sleeve, just beneath the numbers. With just a few marks present along with faint burns over each sleeve, the jersey remains in wonderful condition. A COA from the Blue Jackets will accompany.
Addendum; jersey is now photo-matched to February 12th 2004 Getty Images #2997219 to loose threads located on the left tip of the upper star on the left sleeve, to loose threads located on the lower left tip of the middle star on the left sleeve and a few tiny loose threads are also matching up on the team's crest. The red loose threads on top of the #1 on the left sleeve also are showing but not close-up enough to call a match on those. This jersey was originally purchased by our consignor directly from the team and has been in his possession since then.
