Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Dealt to St Louis from the Habs for future draft choices Shayne Corson and Stéphane Richer, netminder Rick Wamsley experienced his greatest success backstopping Calgary, with the Simcoe native a part of the Flames’ Stanley Cup championship. We have a pendant that was presented to Wamsley for Calgary’s Stanley Cup victory in 1989. At roughly ¾” in diameter, the 10K gold pendant features a raised Flames logo with brushed gold surface encompassed by “1989”, with “Stanley Cup” above, and “Champions” below. The reverse is stamped both “10K” and “BCCR”, with just light wear present and absolutely no issues. The Flames would defeat the Habs 4 games to 2 for their only championship, payback for the loss they received at the hands of the Canadiens in the finals three years earlier. With LOA from Rick Wamsley.
