HOF center Bryan Trottier’s 1985 Wales Conference All-Stars game-worn jersey is from the sixth of his eight career NHL All-Star Games. Trottier’s Wales teammate, 19-year-old rookie Mario Lemieux, took MVP honors in the 37th ASG at Calgary’s Olympic Saddledome with two goals and an assist in a 6-4 win over the Campbell All-Stars on February 12. Originally obtained from Bryan Trottier, this orange knit jersey with the CCM* patch on the right rear tail has an “85 01” born-on date tag and a CCM flag tag with a very faint size “52” handwritten in ballpoint. Game wear shows in black marks on the front and light marks on the sleeves. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
Surname letters are white-on-black double twill sewn directly onto the jersey, as are “Wales” cascading down the front and No. 19 on the back. Numbers on the sleeves are white-on-orange sewn-on double twill, and the 16 white stars (five on the front, five on the back, and three on each sleeve) are sewn-on white twill. NHL crest patch is sewn on the right shoulder and the 1980s All-Star crest patch is sewn on the left shoulder.
