Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Exceptionally scarce and ideal for displaying your prized collection, we have a neat original vintage Sher-Wood hockey stick store display rack most likely hailing from the 1960s, along with a pair of sticks to display. At approx. 68” in height, the 22” wide metal rack finished in slate blue features a 6” x 12” single-sided advertising marquee/sign that states “World’s Toughest Hockey Sticks”. Designed to accommodate sticks within both the front and reverse, the rack shows obvious wear commensurate with its former use, with minor wear to the top header. Light rusting with surface wear is also present along the base, with the rack currently unable to sit perfectly flat.
The accompanying sticks originate from circa late-1950s, and include a Clarks “Mic Mac” model, along with a CCM Pattern made Professional. Both sticks remain in solid condition with taped blades, with heavier wear to the Clarks model.
