Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Hailing from the half-century old Western Hockey League, we have a great collection of 1990s jerseys that total 4, with an example from the Medicine Hat Tigers worn by Paul Elliott (1997-2000) and a Kamloops Blazers jersey worn by Rod Stevens (1991-92), along with examples from the Swift Current Broncos (1990s) and Regina Pats (1991-92). The Tigers jersey has labeling from Maska along the collar, along with a size “56” fly tag, with CCM and CHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with an embroidered team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Elliot” across the nameplate in single white twill. Considerable use is exhibited, with dark marks over the lower front and sleeves, with a few small unrepaired holes present, including a slit just above the right cuff. A few team repairs are also present, along with minimal paint transfer, with evidence of a former nameplate once affixed. Next, the Blazers jersey retains its original Maska Air-Knit collar label with handwritten sizing of “50”, with embroidered CCM and CHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Featuring an attractive Blazers team crest fully administered in twill over twill construction, with tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material. Marks, fabric pulls and small holes are present over the lower front and sleeves along with some paint transfer, with numerous repaired holes resulting from burns near each elbow section. There is also some minor salting/rusting to the fight strap clasps. The Broncos jersey has its proper Maska labeling along the collar, with embroidered CCM and CHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. With the team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the V-neck has dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with a blue clover crest with inserted numbers over the right shoulder. Game-use includes marks over the front and sleeves, along with faint board burns, with some minor pilling within each sleeve. Lastly, the Pats jersey features a stained Maska collar label with dual fly tags, with embroidered CCM and CHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with “Pats” in script across the chest with embroidered detailing, the blue V-neck has been accented with dual-colour layered tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers. Hammered with use, the vintage sweater exhibits a ton of marks, repairs and burns over each sleeve, along with considerable pilling around the collar. The fight strap also shows heavy salting/rusting, with evidence of both a former nameplate, along with the removal of the 75th Memorial Cup patch from over the right breast.
