Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
A standout with the famous Broad Street Bullies throughout the 1970s, tough guy Bob Kelly spent 10 seasons in the City of Brotherly Love, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups with Philadelphia in 1974 and 1975. This Flyers jersey was worn by the Oakville native during the “Broad Street Bash” event that took place on Jan 25th 2014, and it’s been signed by other Flyers’ alumni. A CCM vintage model with labeling intact, the familiar Flyers team crest has been executed in tackle twill, with “9” on the sleeves and verso in matching material. 21 have signed all within the reverse number in black marker including Kelly, Clarke, Barber, Leach, Parent, Dornhoefer, Van Impe and others. The signatures display well with slight bleeding, with an LOA from the Flyer organization to accompany.
Others who have signed this “Broad Street Bash” jersey include Blandon, Clement, Cowick, Crisp, Dupont, Goodenough, Harris, Kindrachuk, MacLeish, Nolet, Saleski, Schultz and the Watson brothers.
