Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
One of Montreal’s all-time toughest enforcers, Chris Nilan is one of only nine players in history to have recorded 3000 minutes in penalties. The Boston strong-boy also holds the NHL record for most penalties in a game with 10. We have a Canadiens jersey that was issued to Nilan circa 1987-88. Maska Ultrafil tagging sits along the collar, with an embroidered CCM patch on the back bottom hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, the V-neck home jersey has been embellished with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Nilan” across the nameplate in single blue twill. Issued but never worn, the garment remains in wonderful condition, with no issues to note.
