Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The brainchild of Wayne Gretzky and friends, the Ninety Nine All Stars Tour was created to promote hockey around the globe as well as raise money for charity during the 1994-95 NHL lockout. Matches were contested against both professional and all-star clubs, with 8 total games played in 5 different countries during the tour. This “Ninety-Nine Tour" jersey has been signed by Gretzky. Maska labeling is present, with “Ninety-Nine” embroidered across the chest, with tackle twill stars affixed above and below. “99” appears on the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Gretzky” across the nameplate in single twill. Wayne has signed within the first reverse “9” in black marker, and the signature displays well.
The jersey remains in wonderful condition with just some minor bleeding to the signature, with a small stain on the front just above the team crest.
