Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
The youngest player to ever be enshrined in the HOF at 31, it’s safe to say that Bobby Orr had already reached legendary status the minute he first laced up his skates. We have a small treasure trove for the Orr enthusiast, with a dozen items featuring the legendary defenceman. First, we have a Regal doll from 1970 of Orr, and it remains in wonderful condition, just missing the gloves and stick, with just a few tiny stains present. Next, we have 3 8” x 11” media photos, with examples from 1973, 1974 along with a photo from the 1974 Stanley Cup finals, with each photo picturing Orr. Each photo is in very good condition, with captions on the reverse. This is followed by a 1969-70 program in poor condition featuring Orr on the cover, along with a 1972-73 Hockey Guide featuring the phenom, along with an 8 ½” x 11” Black Ice golf club advertising flyer picturing Orr. Rounding out the lot, we have a good condition copy of the album “The two sides of Bobby Orr”, complete with record, along with a signed Bruins mini-stick (mediocre signature due to the rough surface), a Chevy Venture advertising puck with facsimile signature, and a pair of vintage Bruins crests.
