Jarome Iginla won the Memorial Cup twice with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, including when he wore this signed photo-matched 1993-94 rookie season gamer. Jarome signed with his number 12 in black marker on the orange twill of the triple twill team crest on the front. Maska and size 52 flag tags sit in the back of the neck and a Blazers 10 Year Anniversary patch is sewn on the right breast. The diagonal stick marks under the patch provide the photo match on this gamer that Iginla wore during the regular season and on through the playoffs, WHL final and in the Memorial Cup, when Kamloops defeated the Laval Titans. Comes with a Kamloops Blazers LOA along with a 1994 Memorial Cup DVD and digital images of the photo-match.
More game wear shows in four team repairs, including three on the right sleeve and one on the right front tail, as well as board burns on the sleeves and black marks on the front and on the sleeves, including on the number 12 on the right sleeve.
It is common knowledge that the Blazers used one set of home and road jerseys during the early 1990s, more specifically in the 1993-94 season, and this jersey is no exception.
The “Iginla” nameplate is original to the jersey but was also recycled into the following seasons as the Blazers typically re-used nameplates for returning players and did not issue new ones. Further evidence that the Iginla nameplate was used for multiple seasons are old stitch holes that are visible on the plate. Video stills taken from the 1994 Memorial Cup final are a match to the jersey. There is a long stick mark running vertically, just under the Blazers anniversary patch. The stick mark is not solid and is broken into three distinct lines that match up perfectly to the marks on the jersey.
The jersey has no evidence of patches being removed or added, so it was issued new at the start of the 1993-94 season. The 1992-93 jerseys had the Memorial Cup patch, which was a league-wide initiative.
The CHL and CCM logos are embroidered on the rear tail.
