Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
The current high bids for the cumulative group of sublots, $4,220.00, is currently higher than the total for the set, $1,210.00 (this lot is currently winning)
The Western Hockey League game puck extravaganza continues here with mostly CCM “C3” pucks featuring “MADE IN CANADA” on the side and screened all-orange logos both front and back. In gorgeous chip-free near mint condition and looking real good to us are pucks of the Denver Spurs, Phoenix Roadrunners, San Diego Gulls, Seattle Totems and Victoria Maple Leafs, with a small hole on the back of the latter. A second San Diego puck has a less-than-perfect team logo while a duplicate Roadrunners puck was used to display the league logo and includes a rather sizeable screw hole, to go along with remnants of the Phoenix logo. Swell complements to the lot are a similar CCM Portland Buckaroos puck, but blank-backed, as well as an early double-crested Viceroy “V1” puck, (no markings on the side), featuring Vancouver Canucks logos. It can be dated to the 1968 to 1970 period.
