Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
The Hockey Club of Dynamo Moscow is one of the oldest and the most popular teams in Russia. This extremely scarce and desirable hockey uniform features a chain-stitched Moscow Dynamo team crest on the front and shoulders and material number "13" sewn-on individually to the back and sleeves. Untagged jersey is made of cotton knit while the blue stripes are made of a stretchy-like material. Vintage sweater shows nice game use with orange/red paint transfer on the left sleeve, a two-inch slice in the big blue stripe on the lower front of the jersey, a board-burn on the right sleeve of the jersey and numerous slashes/marks evenly distributed throughout the uniform. A fantastic jersey deserving a "premier" spot in your international hockey collection.
The first appearance of the HC Dynamo Moscow was in 1946/47, when the team won the first Soviet ice hockey championship. Later, HC Dynamo became the last Soviet and the first "new-era" Russian champion. The history of the club is very rich not only in titles, but also in players who have contributed a lot to the glory of the Soviet and Russian sport.
