Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

A consistent scorer while with Detroit, Petr Klima spent parts of five seasons in the Motor City before being traded to Edmonton during the 1989-90 season. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Klima in 1986-87. Completely void of its former tagging, the jersey has rubberized and embroidered Eastside and CCM patches on the bottom hem respectively. Styled with tackle twill numbers and letters, the garment has the back name affixed directly onto the sweater. With a beautiful and classic winged-wheel team crest, we should add that the fight strap is intact with handwritten “85”.
Visible game-use includes a number of large stick marks on the jersey’s lower front and sleeves, along with some pilling in both sleeves. Klima has added a large blue marker signature to the back “8”, and it's slightly bled into the number’s material.
