Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A first-round draft selection by the Montreal Canadiens in 1984, Alain Heroux never witnessed any NHL action, with the offered early-1980s Canadiens jersey attributed to Heroux’s use during the preseason. There is evidence of a former nameplate, with the jersey possibly worn by Bill Kitchen and/or Dwayne Schofield during the preseason or in a few regular-season games (The #34 jersey is attributed to both players during the early-1980s). A Maska label and laundering tag with “52” sizing are affixed to the collar, with an embroidered Maska logo over the reverse hem. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, “34” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Heroux” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. The fight strap has also been customized. Exhibiting great use, there are a number of washed-out marks visible, with some fraying to the threading on the reverse numbers. There is also a large team repair over the lower front, pilling to the interior and a small area of staining over the lower reverse. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
