Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The recipient (along with Al Jensen) of the William M. Jennings Trophy in 1983–84, Pat Riggin was an Atlanta Flames draft choice in 1979, playing with the club as they transitioned to Calgary the following season. We have a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey that was worn by the netminder in 1987-88, his final NHL season where he appeared in 22 games. A Maska Air-Knit label with handwritten “52” sizing remains affixed to the collar, with an embroidered black and white CCM crest over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a rubberized Penguins team crest, the mesh V-neck has been accented with heat-pressed two-tone vinyl shoulder and verso numbers, with “Riggin” across the nameplate in matching yellow vinyl letters.
A few marks are present over the front and sleeves, with pilling over the lower front hem and around the collar. There is also a small team repair over the seam on the left elbow, as well as a small hole midway down the right sleeve.
