Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Produced during their first of three Avco Cup championships, we have a highly desirable albeit colourful collection of Winnipeg Jets pucks totaling 11, issued during the 1975-76 WHA season by the American Biltrite Company, accompanied by an especially rare display with easel backing to house the pucks. Featuring a portrait image with facsimile signature and Pepsi logo and highlighted by a seldom-seen Bobby Hull “50 Goals in 50 Games” white puck with “February 14, 1975” date, the additional white pucks include Ketola and Sullivan (2), with red pucks for Sjoberg, Bergman and Hornung and blue pucks for Beaudin and Hillman (2). The pucks display beautifully with the graphics showing little wear on each, with a bit of minor spotting to the Ketola puck. The original easel-back plastic and cardboard shield display is 16” x 20” at the widest points, with a bit of damage to the three top points, with additional wear and toning over the reverse along with some minor soiling along the base.
