This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The 1982-83 Rochester Americans received these gorgeous 10-karat gold championship rings after holding the Calder Cup aloft as AHL champions. This beauty with an approximate weight of 20 grams was originally presented to Buffalo Sabres head pro scout John “Bucky” Kane. The Americans logo in gold is set in the big blue stone on the tableau with “Rochester Americans AHL Champions” around the bezel. The left shank displays “Kane” above a trophy image and “Southern Division Champions” at the bottom. The right shank has “1983 Calder Cup Champions American Hockey League” with an image of the Calder Cup. “Balfour 10K” is stamped inside the size 11 band with the 10K portion hard to see but there. Wonderfully preserved with scratches to the back of the band from proud wear. Comes with an LOA from the Kane family.
