Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
HOF left wing Glenn Anderson has signed each of the two mid-1980s Edmonton Oilers game-used pieces offered here including his 600th point stick! Anderson has signed in bold blue marker low on the shaft of his 1986-87 Oilers Canadien 6001 gamer with “600 Point Stick” notation handwritten in blue marker above the lower red, white, blue and black tape. “Anderson” is stamped on the shaft which has a custom-shaved handle below Glenn’s original tape knob. Glenn has signed in black marker on the top of his mid-1980s Oilers CCM game-used helmet with his orange No. 9 decal on the back and Oilers decals on each side.
There is a small crack on the back edge of the shaft which has red and blue paint transfer. More solid game use shows in wear to the bottom edge of the black tape job on the blade and a gouge low on the shaft just above the heel.
The game-worn helmet has cracks on the back left side. More game wear shows in scratches and marks throughout. CCM size 7” – 7 5/8” sticker remains inside the top of the helmet behind the padding. The original chinstrap is in place with the metal button completely rusted.
