Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

One of the most sought-after vintage goalie mask styles in the hobby, this caramel color bar mask was manufactured in the 1960s by Jacques Plante's Fibrosport company and actually was the company's first model it ever made. The father of the mask's consignor was a fibreglass salesman in the early-60s and during a visit to the plant in Montreal was presented this after he'd mentioned that his son was an inspiring goalie. It's survived in good condition with some cracks at the top, near the bottom, and on the nose area, and parts of the straps are now shredded and have seen much better days, but regardless, this classic Plante model remains in overall fine condition and would make a jaw-dropping addition to your display case or Habs/Plante shrine.
