Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Centerman Butch Goring would collect some serious hardware from his stellar 1977-78 season with the L.A. Kings, a year in which saw him bulge the twine 37 times and add 36 helpers. The fellow wearing his old bantam-age helmet would be awarded both the Bill Masterton and Lady Byng Memorial trophies that season, two awards that combine sportsmanship and talent. Offered is Goring's game-worn L.A. Kings jersey from that fine and rewarding season, tagged in the hem as a "Goodman & Sons Size 46", with this Goring gold and purple gamer featuring the classic "crown" team crest on the front (which shows puckering), and individually sewn-on letters on the back. A series of marks are noticeable below the team crest, with more on and near the hem, and on both sleeves. Marks are also above the back hem, along with an inch-long team repair. Goring would tally 275 goals and 384 assists in his 11 seasons with the Kings.
