A must for any proud Canadian hockey fan is this Team Canada Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics team jacket by the Roots company. This red and white patriotic beauty originally sold in Roots stores has a size L flag tag on the right side of the company tagging in the back of the neck. It features magnificent patches all over, including a fabulous one on the back that displays “Canadian” in chenille script with “Olympic Hockey 2002” in red thread on an embroidered tail banner, all superimposed on a chenille hockey stick with a white shaft and red blade tape! Memories of Mario Lemieux and Hayley Wickenheiser and Canada’s double gold medals in men’s and women’s hockey are evoked in the year “02” chenille numbers sewn on the left white leather sleeve. Crossed Canadian flags patch is sewn on the right sleeve. Gorgeous Canadian Olympic Committee Team Canada 02 patch sewn on the left breast is white leather with red embroidery. Roots logo is thickly embroidered in white thread on the right breast. Very nicely preserved overall with some proud wear showing in light marks on the sleeves, including a small light brown stain on the back of the right sleeve.
