Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
Stunning green durene Oakland Seals knit worn by Barry Boughner back in 1969-70. This seldom-seen styling sports vivid coloring and an intricately-embroidered team crest with the full "O" surrounding the skating seal mascot. Tagged by Wilson in the neck in size 44, the jersey features white on blue on white tackle-twill back numbers and arm numbering in green on blue with a white thread accent. Game wear is light and the shirt has been very well-preserved. We spot a few marks and material pulls here and there with some staining up on the white shoulder section. The light wear is expected, as Barry saw ice time in just 4 games for the Seals this year, spending the lion's share of his time down in the American Hockey League with the Providence Reds. The vintage tie-neck shirt from a long-defunct franchise is all original and will make for an awesome display piece.
