Appropriate souvenir of the Cold War is Anatoli Tarasov's mid-1970s colonel's uniform from the Soviet Union's Red Army. Featured is the Father of Russian hockey's heavy grey winter coat and his dress hat, complete with the Hammer & Sickle on the face of the insignia at the front above the braids. The magnificent and imposing long coat features three golden stars on the epaulettes on each shoulder and the Hammer & Sickle prominently displayed on all of its golden buttons. The black leather label sewn inside the top of the hat dates from 1976 and Tarasov's brown leather belt bears a "1973" date. Fantastic reminders of a very different world in the not-so-distant past, worn by a Russian hockey legend, come with an LOA from the Tarasov family.
