Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Loose threads on the purple-white-and-jade triple twill #12 sewn on the left sleeve of Jeff Friesen's 2005-06 Anaheim gamer help establish a positive photo match. A black mark to the right of the same numbers on the left sleeve and a faint mark on the front of the left shoulder have also been matched to an action photo of Friesen which accompanies this road jersey from the Mighty Ducks' third season set. Friesen, who was reacquired by Anaheim late in the season, wore this gamer in the regular season and in the playoffs as the Mighty Ducks advanced to the Western Conference final, where they lost to Edmonton in five games. More game use shows in a 3-inch chevron-shaped cut on the right sleeve, a board burn at the right seam on the front tail, and nicks on the bottom left front. Size 56 "Made in Canada" Canadian flag fly tag remains in the neck and the fight strap is intact. A square "2005-2006 Season" patch has been sewn inside the rear tail to the left of the NHL/MeiGray Game-Worn patch from the lockout-cancelled 2004-05 season. An NHL/MeiGray LOA accompanies this jersey.
