A Century of Memories Auction

Judging by the rush job on the numbers and letters on this Montreal Canadiens gamer, it's pretty clear the Habs were in a hurry to get Rory Fitzpatrick into the lineup. The American defenceman made his Canadiens debut in 1995-96 when he appeared in 42 regular season games and six more in the playoffs. Chosen in the second round of the 1993 draft, Fitzpatrick appeared in six games with Montreal the following season before he was dealt to St. Louis along with Pierre Turgeon and Craig Conroy. This Canadiens road gamer exhibits a relatively sloppy job on the white and blue twill #53 on the back and both sleeves, particularly the bottom of the "3" on the back which slants inwards. The Maska tag in the neck is sewn over in red thread by the nameplate stitching and a size 56 fly tag remains in place beneath it. The jersey's fight strap is intact. Great game use is particularly apparent with the sensational board burns that adorn the elbows of both sleeves. Comes with an LOA.
