Nine uncut sheets of the glorious 1980s Hockey Hall of Fame collection are highlights in this lot that spotlights the vibrant artwork of Carleton "Mac" McDiarmid. Eight uncut postcard sheets each have 12 postcards from the set that features McDiarmid's remarkable and colorful portraits of the legends of the game. Another uncut sheet features 49 hockey cards. A total of 501 cards from the 1980s Hockey Hall of Fame set featuring McDiarmid's artwork are housed in a brown binder with 30 nine-card per page vinyl sleeves mostly filled, back to front. Another binder holds Mac's artwork for Kraft's Canadian teams 1980s set and a 1993 Flyers Parkhurst Dynasty Pro Set collection of 18 cards, along with 25 color photos of his portraits and 110 color copies of his collection of original portraits, most of them signed and personalized. Another 62 loose copies are included. Color ads for the Hockey Hall of Fame card set are featured on the back cover of 11 different mid-1980s Montreal Gazette comic book inserts. Three lithographs of MacDiarmid's Canadiens golden years montage portrait featuring the Richards, Beliveau and Plante are included, along with 18 lithographs of his modern Habs montage with Lafleur, Robinson, Dryden and Roy. Five Maxwell House posters are included, with all three Habs portraits, including the early days of Vezina, Morenz and Joliat, and two copies of the Nordiques poster.[red] Addendum; Take notice that 25 color photos of his portraits and 110 color copies of his collection of original portraits and the 62 loose copies are not actually signed and personalized, the signatures were on the original artworks and were just copied to these copies of his artworks.[/red]
