Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Another tantalizing WHA offering, this one from the short-lived Ottawa Nationals, worn by career minor leaguer Brian Gibbons, a defenceman who toiled for parts of three seasons with the AHL Springfield Kings before suiting up for 73 games for Ottawa during the 72-73 season. Gorgeous red durene jersey sports the old gold, silver and black Maska company tag in the neck and Gibbons sewn onto the original red tackle twill nameplate. Tie-neck style sweater with a lightly-crimpled Nationals crest shows light game use with a few good stick marks, two team repairs and light interior pilling. A rare and desirable defunct durene from a one-year franchise. This jersey will come with an LOA.
