A sprawling Bill Barilko netted the overtime game winner that captured the Stanley Cup for the Leafs at the close of the 1950-51 season. Barilko would never play another game as he disappeared soon after while on a fishing trip. As the story of the Barilko curse goes, the team did not win another championship until 1962, the year Bills body was discovered in the wreckage of his airplane. This ancient game stick is covered in the vintage signatures of Bill Barilko and his teammates from the 1947-48 season. Joe Klukay, Gus Mortson, Bill Barilko, Hap Day, Ted Kennedy, Howie Meeker... they are all here along with a very faded Turk Broda. Thirteen sigs in total with varying conditions. The Barilko, Kennedy and Day are nice and strong but some others are very hard to discern.
