The 2009 Montreal Centennial Auction

Right winger Tony Prpic was a fifth-round draft pick in 1991, chosen 105th overall by Montreal, ahead of Oleg Petrov (127th) and Brian Savage (171). The Cleveland-born forward never made it to the NHL, though the Canadiens made up this No. 55 jersey for him during the mid-1990s. The CCM logo and NHL crest are both embroidered onto the right tail and a size 56 fly tag remains in the neck. The red, white and blue “CH” crest is entirely tackle twill, as are the blue and red numbers on the back and both sleeves, and the blue letters of Prpic’s vowel-challenged surname, which have been sewn onto a white nameplate. This white Habs jersey exhibits no use to speak of and its original fight strap remains intact. A loose red thread on the left cuff is to note. This original jersey comes along with a letter of authenticity from the Montreal Canadiens signed by Rejean Houle.
