Splendid mementos from former Montreal Canadiens’ forward Pierre Mondou’s prolific pre-NHL career include a big plaque he received following his 62-goal season in 1973-74 with the QMJHL’s Sorel Black Hawks. The tribute mentions Mondou as an “exceptional” player. Pierre finished off his junior career with a half season with the “Junior de Montreal”, scoring 40 goals in 40 games and is pictured in the squad’s official team photo, along with Robert Picard, Normand Dupont, Rick Bowness, Blair Mackasey and coach Larry Regan. The two other plaques are from Mondou’s ’76-77 season with the Nova Scotia Voyageurs. He led the AHL with 44 goals and received a plaque as high-scorer on the Vees, along with “The Save Easy Award” as the team’s most valuable player. All pieces are in excellent condition. With LOA from Pierre Mondou.
