Overtime Auction #10

After a sensational start in the NHL which saw him win the Calder Trophy as rookie-of-the-year in 1964-65 and the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP the next season, the acrobatic Roger Crozier began the 1970’s with the expansion Buffalo Sabres. Like other goalies from the ‘60s, Roger donned a mask to protect him from the increasingly wicked blasts unleashed by hockey’s elite. Superb fiberglass mask produced in recent years is a cool tribute to the man whose memory is honored by the Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award, given each year to the NHL goalie with the best save percentage.
