Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - March 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/27/2007
An all-time classic from the folks at Munro Games, this "granddaddy" of table hockey games is a tad different from the ones we normally come across; instead of being painted red this one had a red stain applied to the sides and ends. With a bombe wooden playing surface, red and green plastic end boards and the original woven string nets, the game features wooden milk-bottle shaped men applied to metal pieces which act as sticks and which are all controlled by one lever. The original rules are included on a paper taped to the cardboard bottom with the name of the game, "National 6-Man Hockey", across the top. A steel ball (no longer present) was used instead of a puck and shot into play by pinball-like "shooters" at each end. Cool!
