Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - March 2007
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/27/2007
Great trio of high quality winter wool jackets by Roots all feature gorgeous chenille patches and stretchy knit collars, waists and cuffs, with “1991 Canada Cup Champions” embroidered at the left breast of the black one. “Canada” is stitched across the back of each, while the red jackets feature white leather stripes at the shoulders. The reds were what members of Team Canada received for their participation in the 1990 and ’91 World Championships. The years (“90” and “91”) appear on the shoulders and nice Canadian flag patches are also of note. “Finland” is beneath the “91” and “Roots” crests are present on both. The Canada Cup jacket (size L) shows just light wear while the two red ones (sizes L, XL) are in near perfect condition. From the personal collection of longtime Hockey Canada executive Alan Eagleson, with his signed LOA.
