Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Netminder Jeff Reese played across the NHL during parts of fourteen seasons during his career. It was with the New Jersey Devils in 1996-97 that he wore this striking devilish design. The custom-made mask, painted by Sal Caci, features the image of Satan at the forehead with his tail curling at the left and his crimson hand holding a timepiece on the right. This one shows great use with scratches, chips and a few larger blemishes in the paint. Complete with hand-pained “Reese” backplate and a custom Warwick helmet bag. On-ice action images show Jeff wearing this exact mask in one of the three games he played that season with the Devils.
