Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Honoured with Hall of Fame induction alongside equally paramount legend Gordie Howe in 1972, Jean Beliveau would have the three-year waiting period waived, with this fabulous gold ring presented to the legendary superstar to honour his inclusion after the Hall of Fame moved to its current location in downtown Toronto and presented its members with these "updated" rings. Size 11 ½ with an approx weight of 21 grams, the sloping face includes a big blue stone which has "Hockey Hall of Fame" above, and "Member" below two small diamonds. One shank features the Hall's logo with "J. Beliveau" engraved on a banner above, and "1972" beneath. The most recent Hall of Fame in downtown Toronto appears on the opposite shank along with "Est. 1943". The inner band is stamped "10K" and "IGO". Showing moderate wear over the outer band from use including numerous scratches, there is additional wear to the inner band, with a few minor dings visible on edges, including along the shanks. Originally acquired directly from Jean Beliveau with a signed LOA from the family included, please take note that this gorgeous ring may be subject to a silent reserve.
