Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Averaging just under a-point-a-game throughout the regular season, Henri Richard would help lead the Montreal Canadiens to the promise land once again in 1960-61, with the club finishing first overall, losing a mere 19 contests. This oval-shaped entrée dish with handled lid was presented to the superstar for his status as a member of the 1960-61 league champion Montreal Canadiens. Heavily embossed along the rim of the bowl as well as along the top of the lid and handles, attractively engraved script over the lid states, “National Hockey League – League Champions – 1960-61” and “Club de Hockey Canadien Inc – Henri Richard”. A hallmark appears on the underside of the bowl with “E.P. on Copper” (electro plated) along with a production number of “8019”. Exhibiting minor surface wear and tarnish with no obtrusive damage, the dish was originally obtained from Henri Richard and will be accompanied by a Classic Auctions LOA.
