Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023

Spending four seasons in Ontario with the London Knights beginning in 1976-77, Dino Ciccarelli helped lead the club to runner-up in the league championship his first season. The future NHL star would register two 100+ point seasons with London, including 142 points in his sophomore campaign. Hailing from his personal collection, we have a Knight jersey worn by Ciccarelli circa 1977-78 - a season he outscored a young player for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds named Wayne Gretzky by 2 goals - accompanied by a framed photo of Ciccarelli in his Knights uniform. A mostly detached Wilson label with “44” sizing is affixed to the inside of the tie-neck collar, with the vintage durene sweater sporting an attractive green and yellow team crest with chain-stitched detailing, with “8” sewn to the sleeves and verso in green-over-yellow tackle twill. There is also evidence that a penny-style fight strap was once used on the jersey. Nice game-use is shown including marks to the front and sleeves, with red paint transfer to the right sleeve. Team repairs are also present, with approx 15 visible, with pilling to the interior. The photo is 11" x 14" and shows Ciccarelli posing on ice, framed to 18" x 21 1/2" (no glass). A signed LOA from Dino Ciccarelli will accompany.
