This awesome trio of Edmonton game-worn jerseys features Oilers captains Jason Smith and Kelly Buchberger and enforcer Georges Laraque. The captain's C sits on the left breast of Buchberger's gamer from the team's 1997-98 first set of white jerseys. Smith had the C on his 2001-02 blue jersey from the Oilers' second season set. Laraque's white gamer is from the third set of the 2005-06 season, including the first three rounds of the playoffs! Please see our website description for more information about these three Oilers game-worn jerseys, all of which come with their respective LOAs. Buchberger’s #16 game-worn jersey features extensive team surgery, especially on the left sleeve and particularly on the elbow, which has eight big sewing repairs in blue, white and copper thread. What a beauty! There is another white thread sewing fix with fabric backing inside the jersey above the captain’s C and still more elaborate and numerous team repairs on the back of the right sleeve. Black marks on the front, back and both sleeves and a cut on the front left hem make it clear how Kelly played the game. CCM and size 56 flag tags remain in the neck and a “RMC Sports” label indicates that the Edmonton company handled the jersey’s numbering and lettering. A white Oilers Set #1 97/98 RMC Sports label is sewn inside the rear hem. This hammered Buchberger captain’s gamer comes with MeiGray documentation, including an Oilers LOA signed by GM Kevin Lowe whose MeiGray holofoil number corresponds to the one on the certificate of registration;
Smith’s game-worn jersey captain’s jersey has a black slash mark through the “1” in the #21 sewn on the back in white, blue and red triple twill. Made in Canada and size 58 flag tags sit in the back of the neck along with another from Elite Sports. A blue “Set #2 Edmonton Oilers 2001-2002 Elite Sports” label is sewn inside the rear hem and the fight strap is whole and intact. A couple of slash/burn marks high on the right sleeve have left small holes and more board burns appear on the front of the left shoulder. Comes with MeiGray documentation, including an Oilers LOA signed by GM Kevin Lowe with a MeiGray holofoil number that corresponds to the one on the certificate of registration;
Laraque’s white 2005-06 gamer from the team’s third set saw duty throughout the first three rounds of the playoffs as the Oilers made it to the Stanley Cup final against Carolina. Size 58 Canadian flag and Elite flag tags remain in the neck. A white “Edmonton Oilers Set #3 2005/2006 Elite” label is sewn inside the hem between the square “2005-2006 Season” patch and the NHL/MeiGray label from the unplayed 2004-05 season. This playoff gamer’s fight strap is whole and intact. Game use shows in black marks on the front tail and the right shoulder and cuff, as well as a pair of team repairs on the left sleeve. Comes with an NHL/MeiGray LOA.
