Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A five-time World Series champion, Derek Jeter earned numerous accolades throughout his Hall of Fame career, along with the nickname “Captain Clutch” for his dominant postseason play. Saying “Farewell Captain”, we have a framed New York Yankees third base used during Jeter’s final season in 2014, specifically during innings 6 through 9 of the April 25 match vs the Angels. Exhibiting dirt staining and set into an approx 23 ½” x 27 ½” shadow box, Jeter’s #2 is affixed beneath the glass, with an engraved plate over the base listing the particulars, flanked on each side by Yankees emblems. The shadow box itself shows wear including small chips, with a white blemish over the left side. An LOA from Steiner has been affixed to the reverse.
