Played in historic Fenway Park in front of over 38,000 fans, the 2010 Winter Classic featured the hometown Boston Bruins taking on east coast rival Philadelphia Flyers, with the Beantowners pulling out an overtime victory 2-1. This Bruins captain’s jersey was worn during the warm-up prior to the contest by Slovak star Zdeno Chara. Designed by Cam Neely, a Reebok name band along with size tagging with handwritten “33” and crossed out “22” are attached to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the spoked “B” crest in use during the 1948-49 season executed in the team’s original colours of brown and gold, the tie-neck jersey has been styled with textured dual-colour numbers in matching retro-colours, with the important 2010 Winter Classic crest over the right breast. With no visible wear present, the overly large garment remains in absolutely stunning condition. A MeiGray patch numbered G13658 sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a "Worn During WarmUp 1/1/10 - NHLPA Set / Gold Winter Classic w/C" example. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
